NOT BANNON postcards -- send a few today

"Today's the day for #notbannon. If you care to participate, send a postcard--preferably one representing your state or region--reading NOT BANNON to:
     Donald Trump
     The Trump Organization
     725 Fifth Avenue
     New York, NY 10022

The idea (and I know it's more a prank than real activism, but what the hell) is to flood TT with postcards, all arriving at the same time."

Possible inclusion for letters to Republicans, late 2016

You still have a few short weeks in which to act.

If stonewalling President Obama is your goal for this term, I hope you find yourself deeply ashamed for the rest of your life for your choice to ignore the wellbeing of ordinary citizens while allowing a small, favored few to become rich and powerful with your aid.

Republican Senators and Representatives have treated their solemn, sworn duties as a game, blocking nearly every effort by Democrats to pass legislation intended to improve the lot of ordinary Americans.  You have allowed hatred of a black man to be the guiding principle of government.

Rather than compromising with the other party, you have helped your party block jobs bills, gut civil rights laws, and refuse to help veterans, women, the disabled, and senior citizens.

History will not judge you favorably.

Alternatives for the Openings of Letters

Here is a short list of possible openings for your letters to Congress and the Senate.  Square brackets indicate places where you will want to add your personal information -- for instance, the name of your state.

Dear Senator,
I am your constituent in [state name].

Dear Representative,
I am your constituent in [state name].

Dear Senator,
Although I am not your constituent, I write on behalf of America.

Dear Senator,
I reside in [state name], though I am not yet old enough to be a voter.  I am concerned for my own future, and that of the country.

Approve the Pending Nomination for Supreme Court Justice, Judge Merrick Garland

Dear Senator,

Please approve the pending nominee for Supreme Court Justice, Judge Merrick Garland, before the inauguration of the next president.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Topics?

Please suggest topics for letters.  If you are willing to draft a letter on your topic, please post that as well.  Profanity and hate will not be permitted.  State your case clearly, then follow up with reasons that this issue is important -- to the nation, to your state, to your locality, to your family, to you personally.

Eventually, topics may be tagged by type of issue (perhaps "environmental" or "Social Security") and perhaps by viewpoint ("conservative", "progressive", etc.)  I may ask for co-moderators to help evaluate the suggestions and the letters.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
